Welcome to the Gender Booth

Listen here to everyday people across the gender continuum sharing their experiences of love, struggle, self, other, body, beauty, shame, freedom, and anywhere else we decide to go. The Gender Booth is an arm of MakeShift’s current initiative, the Gender Project, which will produce a circus show driven by and culminating in community dialogue to be shared free of charge in metro Atlanta.

This page is a place where we hope to break out of gender as usual and share intimately so that we may take steps toward a society that celebrates and values all expressions of gender.   Through the process of the Gender Project, our interviewers will themselves step into the Gender Booth, opening up their own gender experiences as we are asking others to do.
